For most locations, we can currently offer to pick up your compost on Monday evenings between 6pm and 9:30pm. You may choose any frequency of pick-up. We could come by once a week, every second week, or simply whenever you email or call to let us know your bucket is full.
While we don't mind knocking on your door or ringing your apartment to exchange buckets in person, you may find it more convenient to leave the bucket in an accessible outdoor location for us to pick up.
If you live in a home with a separate entrance, you could leave your bucket somewhere between the door and the curb. If you live in a building with a shared entrance, an out-of-the-way spot external to the building may be most convenient. The recycling areas behind apartment buildings have been found to work well.
We charge $5 per pick-up, per 5 gallons of material. We are now also asking a $3 bucket fee to help cover the costs of purchasing and delivering new buckets. Over 80% of households spend ten dollars or less per four week period using our service.
